It has plenty to offer at a modest price, and it's one of the easiest robots we've tested to set up. Unpacking the S1 Pro is simple, and the quick-start guide will get you up and running with a clean, complete dust bag, a hard floor solution and water tank in no time at all.
The S1 Pro is a powerful small machine that can mops up a storm and is a great vacuum cleaner too. auto vacuum cleaner are spun at high speed and use 2.2 pounds (1kg of force) to quickly take away pet hair, dirt and sticky dried spills. The vacuum comes with four power modes, a range of brushes and attachments and an intuitive app that lets you select the kind of cleaning you'd like for each room.
For example, you can opt for the robot to take care of a thorough clean-up in the living and kitchen areas but go easy on the spare bedroom. The S1 Pro's front collision sensors and smart navigation technology are excellent too, with the robot being capable of detecting tiny obstacles that other models have difficulty overcoming. The only issue it has is that it tends to hit objects and walls at a high speed, but an instant glance at the history of cleaning in the app tells you exactly what it's doing as well as where it's heading, and which obstacles it's avoided.
A large LCD screen on the docking station tells you when maintenance jobs must be completed, such as emptying the debris tray and washing the water tank that is dirty. It can also mix detergent automatically into the water tank with a 600ml bottle of the eufy's solution.
Both the S1 Pro mop and vacuum come with a long-running time. The mop can run for 184 mins in Quiet Mode. The vacuum can last 136 mins in normal mode, before having to recharge or returning to the base. The app is easy to use and intuitive, allowing you to look at all the details of the cleaning.
2. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra
The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra is the latest version of the company's top robot vacuum and mop. The model this year has a double agitator built into its mopping pad. This increases the carpet cleaning capabilities of this model. The S8 Pro Ultra has an enhanced suction power that enables it to pull up smaller hairs as well as other debris other robotic cleaners might miss.
This Roborock model, like the other two I tried, has infrared and reactive 3D obstacle avoidance technology to help it avoid obstacles such as furniture, walls and other obstacles. The S8 Pro Ultra goes one step further by incorporating dual cameras that can detect objects, determining whether they're walls or other surfaces. It can then automatically change its path and clean the objects without a pause.
This is the most expensive of the three models I've reviewed, but it's also loaded with features. Its sleek, angular design is striking and only has three buttons that are physically accessible. The power button, which restarts the cleaning process, a mop button that doubles as a child-lock, and a home-button to take the robot to its dock. Lifting the hinged lid, you will find the 350ml dust bin as well as a 200ml water tank. The water tank automatically emptys and the bin fills up automatically.
The only downside I found in this model was the VibraRise mop pads mount isn't removable. While you can replace the mopping cloth (if needed), it's a pain to take off the mount for manual washing. I've noticed that any plush carpet that the robot touches will come into contact with the rough Velcro-like fastener system on the mount, and that could cause abrasions.
The S8 Pro Ultra is equipped with a number clever features including support for Google Home and Amazon Alexa. The Roborock app lets you manage and configure these features. It also contains maps and advanced mopping options. The app allows you to schedule cleanings and monitor the battery life and maintain your components. But you'll need to jump through a few hoops in order to allow voice control with this model which is unfortunate considering the quality of its performance.
3. Dreame X40
The Dreame X40 is an industry-leading robot vacuum and mop that has exceptional suction power, advanced mowing capabilities, and innovative features. Its intelligent design allows for customised and efficient cleaning while saving you time.

Unlike some other robots that only focus on one thing, the X40 can perform both vacuuming and mopping simultaneously or separately. It can also be programmed to skip areas that have carpet and only mop hard floors, and vice versa. It can be controlled through the Dreame app or by using Alexa, Siri, and Google Home for smooth voice-controlled operation.
The app is simple to use and intuitive, and the X40 has many smart features that are easy to configure. Users can program the X40 for cleaning at specific times. They can also adjust suction power, switch modes, look at floor plans and maps, and manage mopping settings. The X40 will also keep track of its progress, and alert you when it's finished.
The X40 is easy to clean and has numerous convenient features, making it a perfect choice for busy families. Its docking station automatically empties the dustbin into a huge 3.2 L bin, washes the mop pads, and refills them with clean water and cleaning solution. It will also tell you if the mop pad has reached its capacity to the max and notify you of the situation prior to it bursting.
4. L20 Ultra
The L20 Ultra is a high-end robot that's among the most expensive available however, it comes with a lot of additional features that make it stand out. The mops come with a brand new feature called Smart DuoScrub. It uses two high-speed mops to scrub floors more thoroughly than the traditional method, and it comes with the highest suction power of 7,000Pa. This is much higher than the Roborock S8 Pro Ultra or Ecovacs Deebot T20 Omni and can clean pet hair and smaller dirt particles as well as picking up spills and wet spots.
The mops are cleaned and dried in the base station every time they are used. This is a fantastic feature since it prevents the growth of mould and unpleasant odours in storage, and also makes the mop system more efficient. It's a system that has yet to be seen on other robot vacuums and mop models, and it could be a great method of keeping your home hygienic for longer.
There's a wealth of options available that include the possibility to schedule cleaning appointments and adjust a variety of preferences. These settings can be adjusted via the app, or via direct buttons on the device itself. The app is simple to use and provides a variety of options to customize the cleaning routine. Additionally, there are numerous functions that other robots don't include, such as the Clean Genius mode that automatically increases suction power when it detects dust particles, rather than using an individual setting.
The L20 Ultra has a stylish design with a metallic-white-white finish that looks sophisticated and classy. It is a little heavier at 4kg than the other robots listed on this list, but it's still not excessively heavy. It is solid and well-built. The mopping system is well designed and the double-rotating mop works well on hard floors or in corners. The MopExtend feature allows them to extend up to 2mm below the baseboards.
